This week we have discovered more about Shackleton’s Journey – finishing our book in whole class reading sessions. We have also completed our biographies about Robert Scott.
As well as this, on Tuesday afternoon we had a go at our own Edward Wilson inspired landscapes. We got inspiration from some of his artwork and will continue with these next week.
In science ,on Wednesday, we did an experiment using litmus paper to find out the effect of carbon dioxide on water. We learned about pH and found liquids can be acidic or alkaline. We discovered carbonated (sparkling) water is more acidic that tap (still) water.
We look forward to sharing lots more about Polar Explorers in our Class Assembly which is on Friday 9th February at 2.15pm in the school hall.
