Lacrosse!

Friday was our last day with our sports coaches. After becoming experts in fencing and archery, we were now going to experience lacrosse! After learning how to scoop, we moved on to throwing and catching. No time to lose – straight into two very fast moving games. Check out our photos.img_1853 img_1855 img_1861 img_1874 img_1883

Anti-bullying Week

This week is anti-bullying week. Elm Class have been thinking about the difference in meaning between being rude, mean and bullying. They discussed the vocabulary associated with these; designed posters, and then created their own role-plays to portray these in action! They also discussed cyber-bullying and how this might happen. They thought of the many varied ways people communicate through devices at home – quite a list! They then designed their own comic strips to show what someone should do if it was happening to them. Always tell an adult!

Fencing!

We had lots of fun this afternoon with our sports coaches. Today’s session was fencing. We started by learning the position and how to move. Then on to getting the vests and helmets on. In groups of 3, 2 ‘fought’¬†and 1 refereed – a very serious job!

In the next 2 Fridays, we’ll do Archery and Lacrosse.
